Indian CDMA Operators to Conduct 3G Trials by Early 2008

India's DoT (Department of Telecom) has agreed to allocate 1900-megahertz frequency bands to CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) operators such as Tata and Reliance to conduct 3G trials in areas designated by the DoT. Chinese ZTE will be providing necessary technologies and equipment to these operators for their 3G trials, which are expected to commence by January 2008.
